Maloney's new case takes him to a retirement home, where he is supposed to solve a case of sabotage involving a walker. When, unexpectedly, not his paranoid client but the accused dies, Maloney uncovers jealous rivalries, vicious intrigues and eccentric personalities hidden beneath the surface of everyday life at the retirement home.
